USS Pampanito Submarine Model

Description

Radio-controlled model submarine. Designed and built as a full flooding negative buoyancy model, it can submerge and cruise under water. Molded fiberglass hull. Powered by two Astro 40 motors through Futaba speed controls turning four-blade 2-1/2″ propellers running off three 6v aircraft batteries. Decks are 1/8″ teak planks. Featured in the January/February 1987 issue of “Scale Ship Modeler” magazine.
