Raidin’ Maiden (PT-168) PT Boat Model

Description

Radio-controlled model of an Elco 80 foot PT boat powered by an Olympic 41cc water-cooled 2-cycle gasoline engine. Hull and decks are hand-laid up fiberglass. Radio is a Futaba 10 Channel system with FP S-14 servos. The engine is an Olympic 41cc with a centrifugal clutch and pull starter adapted for marine use by water cooling. A 12v motorcycle battery provides power for engine cooling pumps, interior and exterior lights and a pair of blower motors. Paint is Dietzler automotive acrylic enamel. All deck fittings and details are cast zinc. April/May 1988 issue of “Scale Ship Modeler” magazine.
